The Netherlands Centre for Coastal Research (NCK) is a cooperative network between Deltares, Rijkswaterstaat, Delft University of Technology, University of Twente, Utrecht University, IHE Delft, Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ), Wageningen Marine Research and TNO Geological Survey of the Netherlands. The NCK Programme Secretariat manages the NCK website and the mailing list, and is staffed by Deltares employees. Registering for NCK events at this website
When registering for an NCK event at this website, you agree to the following:
- Deltares, in executing the registrations for the NCK Event, stores and uses certain personal data based on your permission (as meant under article 6 General Data Protection Regulation) thereto in accordance with the terms and conditions below.
- The personal data Deltares stores and uses are: your name, the name of the company/institution you work for, your email address, optionally your phone number and optionally dietary restrictions (i.e. your Registration).
- In addition to Registration Personal Data, NCK partners and participants of the event may take photos during the NCK Event. You agree that Deltares may publish these photos on the NCK website. You may contact the NCK Programme Secretary at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you would like to have a specific photo deleted from the website.
- Deltares stores and uses your Registration for the sole purpose to organize or have organized the NCK Event and more specifically: to (have) arrange(d) the venue and catering, to inform you about details of the NCK Event, and to print your name badge.
- You agree that Deltares, if applicable, shares your Registration with the NCK-partner(s) organising the NCK Event, in which case such NCK-partner-use remains limited to purpose mentioned under 4.
- Otherwise than as set out in 5 and 6 above, your Registration will not be shared with NCK partners or any third parties.
- Deltares and the organizing NCK-partner (if applicable) store your Registration until 60 days after the Event. After this period, your Registration will be deleted.

- Your Registration is stored at a server of the hosting-service provider ‘Byte’ that Deltares has contracted for this purpose and, in case of a NCK-partner being involved in organization of the NCK Event, at the server of that NCK-partner. Photos are always stored at the NCK website and hence at a server of the hosting-service provider ‘Byte’.
Subscribing to the NCK mailing list
When subscribing to the NCK mailing list, you agree to the following:
- Deltares, in executing the NCK mailing list, stores and uses your email-address based on your permission (as meant under article 6 General Data Protection Regulation) thereto in accordance with the terms and conditions below.
- The purpose of storing your email-address is to be able to send you emails to inform you about relevant news, such as events organised by NCK or by others all related to coastal research, job offers, new publications and research updates.
- Your email address will be stored as long as the NCK exists, unless you unsubscribe from the mailing list.
