6th Brunings Leacture
Dear all, register now at www.uu.nl/bruningslecture for:
6th Christiaan Brunings Lecture Tuesday 12 January 2021 14-17 hr.
Theme: Futures of coastal marshes
Speakers:
- Prof dr Iris Moeller (international perspectives)
- Dr Kelly Elschot (Wadden Sea saltmarshes / kwelders)
- Prof dr Piet Hoekstra (Waddenacademie, a brief reflection to invite further discussion)
- further discussion and chatting in break-out rooms (bring your own virtual drink ;-)
For those who have missed one or more lectures: all recordings, and last years fairy tales are all online at www.uu.nl/bruningslecture.
There were protests when I announced that last year’s Brunings lecture was probably the last, and I discovered two very interesting themes and speakers for this and next year, so the sequel will continue. However, in view of the current state of the planet we are preparing for a compact online meeting in a suitable online format that does not deaden the brains, including a way to try and replace one of the more important parts for discussion and catching up (the breaks with coffee and drinks together). Possibly, if things go well, we may also have a tour in the www.uu.nl/Metronome lab for those who have not seen it yet.
