NCK SUMMER SCHOOL: ESTUARINE AND COASTAL PROCESSES IN RELATION TO COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT
The bi-annual NCK Summer School has the objective to provide tools and skills to young engineers and scientists, specializing in coastal and estuarine processes with a common background in knowledge. The NCK Summer School covers a range of physical and ecological topics in the coastal area. As a central theme, it links these topics to the Dutch Wadden Sea area and its surroundings, i.e. including the barrier islands and the North Sea.
The NCK Summer School includes a series of lectures, elaborating case studies in small groups, field measurements and field trips, as well as a more informal programme in the evening. Detailed information about the programme and the lecturers is presented in the NCK Summer School brochure.
The NCK Summer School will be held from June 26th untill July 7th 2017 at the island of Texel, the Netherlands. The Summer School is organised together with PAOTM (Postacademisch onderwijs Techniek en Management). The number of participants is limited to 24.
